University of Cambridge 2017
As of 2017, Cambridge is ranked the world’s fourth best university by three ranking tables and no other institution in the world ranks in the top 10 for as many subjects. Cambridge is consistently ranked as the top university in the United Kingdom. The university has educated many notable alumni, including eminent mathematicians, scientists, politicians, lawyers, philosophers, writers, actors, and foreign Heads of State. Ninety-five Nobel laureates, fifteen British prime ministers and ten Fields medalists have been affiliated with Cambridge as students, faculty, or alumni.
Dates and deadlines 2017
1 March: deadline for second round applications for 2017 entry (or deferred entry in 2018) to the mature Colleges (Hughes Hall, Lucy Cavendish, St Edmund’s and Wolfson) for some mature and affiliate students.
A Levels, IB and other examinations taken by students in Year 13 (or equivalent) – including STEP, where required for Mathematics and other applicants.
Examination results published and confirmation of conditional offers for 2017 entry (or deferred entry in 2018) that have been met – all conditional offers must be met by the deadline set by UCAS unless otherwise specified.
Applications for 2018 entry (and deferred entry in 2019)
The majority of interviews in Cambridge take place in the first three weeks of December (some may be a little earlier).
