University Of Bristol Health Services
We offer a full NHS General Practice service for all University of Bristol students and their dependants who live within the practice area.
Our practice area includes all Halls of Residence and most addresses in Clifton, Cliftonwood, Cotham, Redland, Westbury Park, Sneyd Park, Kingsdown, Montpelier and St. Werburgh’s. It also includes some, but not all, addresses in Bishopston, Horfield, Henleaze, Stoke Bishop, Westbury-on-Trym, Leigh Woods, Sea Mills and St. Paul’s.
You must live within the practice area to register with us. Use the postcode checker to see if you live in the practice area.
- Monday 8:45am to 7:45pm (Pre-booked appointments only from 6:30pm)
- Tuesday 8:45am to 5:30pm
- Wednesday 8:45am to 5:30pm
- Thursday 8:45am to 7:45pm (Pre-booked appointments only from 6:30pm)
- Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm
- Saturday 9am to 12pm (Pre-booked appointments only).
If you need to be seen urgently before 6:30pm on any weekday please contact the surgery. If you need to be seen urgently out of hours: after 6:30pm to 8:00am on any weekday any time at the weekend or on bank holidays, please call the NHS 111 service. This number is free form any phone.
NHS 111 is a telephone service that gives confidential healthcare advice and information 24 hours a day. Dial 111 from any landline or mobile, calls are free.
During academic holidays we remain open but our opening times vary slightly. Details of vacation opening hours will be posted in our news section.
If you are away from Bristol during the holidays, you can get treatment from a local GP as a temporary patient.
After you graduate
The NHS asks us to remove you from our list of patients following your graduation, unless you notify us that you will be doing postgraduate studies at the University of Bristol.
