Park and Ride

University of Brighton Parking, The university uses car parking spaces to provide a park and ride service at Falmer campus. This sits on the ‘retained land’ adjacent to Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA). This is the car park used by the American Express Community Stadium on matchdays.

Who can use the park and ride service?

University of Brighton staff and students who have a park and ride permit can use the service.

Your permit will need to be clearly displayed in your vehicle and your staff/student ID card will need to be presented to the steward at the car park.

You will need to fill in an online application form for a park and ride permit.

How do I get from Falmer to other campuses?

The Big Lemon bus, UB1 service, is the shuttle bus for the park and ride scheme. The service links Falmer, Varley Park, Moulsecoomb and Grand Parade. It will stop at the Brighton Academy bus stops (located near The Keep) to collect and drop people off, as required.

When does the bus service run?

The UB1 bus runs regularly on weekdays between 08:05am and 6.25pm. The car park will not be available on weekday matchdays.

Do I need a bus ticket to use this service?

No, the service is free. You will need to show your Unicard (ID card) to the bus driver when you board.

Is the car park secure?

The car park is monitored on a regular basis by our parking service. Please note that parking in any university car park is at your own risk.
