University of Brighton International Year One
What is the International Year One programme?

It combines study skills, academic modules and English language training, providing complete preparation for the second year of undergraduate study.
Why study the International Year One?
Specially designed for international students
The International Year One provides complete preparation for university study. It combines English language tuition, study skills and academic modules, delivered through small classes. Students receive plenty of tutors’ time, and exceptional academic and pastoral support throughout the programme.
Students gain their degree in just three years
The International Year One is an intensive programme leading to year two of undergraduate degree. Students can graduate after three years’ study, making the programme a time and cost-effective option, while offering an excellent quality of education.
A wide range of study centres and programmes
Students can choose from a choice of ten Study Centres around the UK, each offering excellent facilities and academic provision. A wide range of subjects are available including business, accounting, marketing, computing, politics, media, international relations and engineering.
Suitable for a range of abilities
The International Year One is suitable for students who would benefit from support in English language and study skills, who may have just missed out on direct entry to university or who have not got their expected Foundation results.
Once students complete the programme and achieve the required grades, they will be ready to enter the second year of their chosen degree.
