University of Brighton Hastings

Based two minutes from the local train station, our Hastings campus is right in the centre of town, close to the seafront and shopping district.

We have one residence for our campus in Hastings, which is within walking distance of the university campus and Hastings town centre.

In addition to halls, you have the option of Unihomes – houses and flats we let to our students on behalf of private landlords. There is a good supply of private rented accommodation in Hastings if you would prefer to find your own place to live.

What’s on campus

Social scene –  A welcoming, fun and friendly town, Hastings has a social scene to suit you whatever your interests or taste.

Arts – Home to the award-winning Jerwood Gallery, there are regular exhibitions of international recognised modern art. Ben Eine, the Chapman Brothers and even Banksy have displayed works around the town. There is a thriving art community and a large number of independent galleries and art groups. The Electric Palace cinema also runs the annual ’Shot by the Sea’ film festival.

Sports – As well as a number of sports centres and range of local clubs, world-class indoor BMX and skate facilities are in development. Sea sports are a great option in the summer months, or even winter for those willing to brave the cold!

Food and drink on campus – There’s a choice of cafes and restaurants on all of our campuses.

We are reviewing the courses that we offer at Hastings. Find out what this might mean for you.
