University of Bolton Top Up Degree

Our BSc (Hons) Business Management (Final Year Top-up) course is ideal if you have successfully completed a foundation degree, diploma of higher education or higher national diploma in a business-related subject and want to progress to a higher level of qualification.

The course begins with a programme of induction in which you will develop the skills required for transition to honours-level study. The top-up degree will build on your existing knowledge and understanding of the business environment, and allow you to develop key research and critical thinking skills.

About the course

Employability skills are developed through practical activities and guest speakers to ensure that graduates have a competitive advantage when entering employment or self-employment.

Entry requirementsApplicants will normally possess a recognised business-related qualification comprising at least 120 credits at HE4 and 120 credits at HE5; for example, a diploma of higher education, higher national diploma or foundation degree.

Acceptance will also usually be subject to passing a satisfactory interview (face-to-face, by telephone or by Skype). The interview will allow us to determine your commitment to and suitability for the programme, as well as allow you to clarify any queries you may have.

If English is not your first language you will also normally need IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent). If you do not have the required English level, you can study English with us from IELTS 4.0 (or equivalent). Click here to find out more about our English Foundation Programme.
