The team of Student Advisors offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of student support issues.

These include Accommodation, Hardship Fund, Chaplaincy, Life Lounge, Disclosure and Barring Service, Disability Service, Immigration and Welfare Service, Student Finance, and Student Liaison Officers.

They can also refer you and make appointments for you to see specialist staff. Private interview room facilities are available on request. An induction loop facility for the deaf and hard of hearing is also available.

As a mentor there will be times when your mentee will ask you for advice outside the remit of being a career mentor. The student services team will be able to provide the right support; we recommend that you refer your mentee at all times to the relevant services at the University only.

Chaplaincy.

Chaplains and Pastoral Assistants are available in the Chaplaincy Office| to give pastoral support to students and staff of any faith and none – and we are very good at listening. You don’t have to be in need to call at the Chaplaincy Office| and have a chat and a coffee.

Counseling.

Our counselor is fully trained and the service is totally confidential. He has a special understanding of the problems facing today’s students. Initial appointments are on the basis of an assessment of the problem and last for 30 minutes. Any subsequent appointments are for one hour.
