University of Bolton Basketball, For this season 2016/17 we have one team participating in the Britisih Universities & College Sports Leagues (BUCS).  We are not only interested in participating in the BUCS league, we want to excell and achieve great goals.  We usually play on Wednesday afternoons, and winning the leagues is a big aim and is one of our most important factors we consider, as well as having fun.

We also aim to represent the University of Bolton both on and off  the court.

If you are interested in joining one of the teams just pop down to one of the trainining sessions, or if you’d like some more information contact one of our people below.

Team Membership Fee: £25.  This includes training sessions, EBBA affliation fees, insurance and use of kit and equipment.  A small charge of £2 will be applicable when travelling to away games.

Friday:      6.00pm – 8.00pm

Sunday:    6.00pm – 8.00pm

A FORMER American basketball star is launching a sports academy at the University of Bolton aimed at helping young people — and giving the town its own professional team within two years.

Malcolm Leak played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Los Angeles Clippers before going to play for teams in Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, Chile, Venezuela and Cyprus.

He moved to England in 1998 to play for the London Towers and then the Newcastle Eagles and Leicester Riders before coaching in Denmark.
