Award Description

The University of Birmingham International Work Experience bursary offers financial support for undergraduates (except final years) to undertake work experience overseas in the summer vacation. The International Work Experience bursary is available to students who source their own work experience opportunities and require funding to assist with the costs involved.

Value of Award

Each International Work Experience Bursary is worth up to £800. Two successful candidates will receive funding assistance of up to £1,000 each through the prestigious Enterprise Award, made available by Enterprise Rent A Car. Remaing applicants will be considered for the International Work Experience Bursary. The amount you apply for will depend on the individual circumstances of your proposed work experience. In the past awards have ranged from £100 to £800 to help with expenses including accommodation costs, travel expenses, living costs, utilities bills and insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

The scheme is open to all undergraduate students except those in their final year. You must source your own internship.
