University of Birmingham Job Zone
The Job Zone is based in the University’s Guild of Students and actively promotes part-time temporary vacancies (up to 16 hours per week) in the local area for students. The Job Zone are also responsible for advertising Student Brand Ambassador roles.

Our job search for part-time vacancies is available only for students of the University of Birmingham.
If you are a current student:
- You must first log in to the Guild website via the mybham portal – click here
- Once you have returned to the Guild website logged in, click on the ‘My Guild’ tab at the top of the website
- Once here, answer the short questions and then select ‘opt in to view job opportunities’ and click ‘update’
You only need to do this once.
From then on, whenever you are logged in to the Guild website and return to the Job search page, you will be able to see our current job vacancies.
You can add your company to our online ‘Employer Directory’ for no charge. This extensive employer listing allows registered Birmingham students and graduates to search the Directory by employer name, industry, location and type of work.
Students are able to link directly to your website from the Employer Directory as well as your vacancies on our website. Instructions on how to upload and update your company profile can also be found in the user guide.
