University of Bath Ultimate Frisbee

University of Bath

What is Ultimate?

Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest growing University sports, combining speed, stamina, skill and teamwork into a game that’s like no other! Ultimate Frisbee is now entering it seventh season as a BUCS sport, consisting of both an indoor and an outdoor season.  And ANYONE can play – we have open, womens, mixed and even beginners teams!
Intrigued? Find out more about how to play here.

The team practises several times a week – we play both indoors and outdoors all year round.  Training times can be found here.  We also have regular socials and there are multiple weekend tournaments which you can choose to attend.  There is also the annual beach tour to Spain over Easter break.  A staple of the Uni calendar for sports teams across Europe, the week is jam-packed with frisbee, sun and partying – all without leaving the beach!

Want to give it a go?

If you want to try out the University’s newest, freshest and most exciting sport, either competitively or socially, shoot us an email or a FB message!

If you’re not yet convinced, come and meet us at one of the taster sessions during, or after, Freshers’ Week! It’s a mixed sport so why not come along with your new flatmates and have a go together!
For more details on Freshers’ Week

First off, congrats on being offered a place to study at the University of Bath! It’s an amazing place to learn, live and play sport!

We can’t wait to meet you during Freshers’ Week. You will be able to find us at Sports Day on Parade, and at the Sports Fair during the first week.  And if you’re curious what Ultimate is actually like why not come to one of our main taster sessions? We’re a mixed sport so feel free to bring along all your friends!

Unsure of where to go?

We will be meeting 15 minutes before the start time for our Wednesday and Saturday sessions outside the STV to make sure you know where you are going.

Check out the handy campus map.

The astro pitches are labelled as Astroturf, for these you will have to go through the STV and out the back door – but don’t worry, we’ll have someone waiting outside the STV to make sure you don’t end up playing netball or tennis, God forbid!

The Eastwood Football pitches can be found behind the STV (labelled Sport’s Training Village on the map below) and are accessed by walking through the back of the East Car Park. Pitch 6 is labelled 6 on the map below.
