Recruitment and admissions

Anyone involved in recruitment and admissions should follow the University’s principles

  • to promote our provision as widely as possible amongst suitably qualified candidates in the UK and internationally; and
  • to ensure that the student has every reasonable prospect of succeeding on his or her chosen programme of study.

As described in QA22, if you are involved in the recruitment of students, you must adhere to the criteria for recruitment which is set out in the admissions regulations for first degrees, diploma and certificate programmes or for the award of higher degrees.  Advice and support is available from the Recruitment and Admissions Office.  For queries relating to the admission and support of students with a disabilty refer to Student Disabilty Advice.  For the admission of students who wish to transfer credit from another institution or accredit prior experience please consult QA45 Accreditation of Prior Learning.
