University of Arts London US Office

At University of the Arts London, we currently have over 400 students from all over the US studying with us as part of our internationally diverse student community.

You can choose from a wide range of art, design, fashion, media, communication and performing arts courses at foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.

We make regular visits to the US each year for student seminars, workshops and applicant interviews. We also have a US-based representative with offices in New York and Colorado who can help you with the application process, including visa and immigration advice.

If you’re currently studying for a bachelor’s degree, you may wish to consider participating in one of our three Study Abroad programmes. Study Abroad is an excellent opportunity for US students to experience University level education in art and design-related subjects in the UK as well as potentially earning transfer credits back in their home institutions.

Fees and funding

Standard international tuition fees apply for most of our courses but there are some that may vary. Visit our tuition fees page for more details on standard and non-standard fees. Here you will also find a currency converter so you can see the fees in USD.

Check your chosen course page to see if a non-standard fee applies to your course. Find the course page by searching our course listings.

If you’re looking for financial support, visit our US loans page for information on how to apply as well as links to our scholarships and funding pages.

Visit the International Students & Money page for more information.

Entry requirements for US students

Individual courses may have differing sets of entry requirements. Find the specific entry requirements for your course by searching our course listings.

If English isn’t your first language, visit our English language entry requirements information page for details on required IELTS scores.

Some courses require a portfolio for consideration at application stage. Take a look at our portfolio advice videos before applying.

  • Foundation and preparation programmes
  • Undergraduate
  • Postgraduate

Application to a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or the International Preparation for Fashion course (you may know this as a freshman year) usually requires US students to have a High School Diploma plus one Advance Placement subject at Grade 3 and a portfolio of work. Entry onto these programmes may also depend on the outcome of an interview at application stage.
