University Of The Arts London Language Center

The Language Centre offers English and English Plus courses to students from all over the world. We also support the international full-time students at the University and offer evening classes in foreign languages with art and culture.

Learn French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) or Spanish on a part-time evening course at the UAL Language Centre. Based in London, each class is taught in an arts and culture context. Classes are open to the public as well as current UAL students.

During the 8 week course, you will be exposed to authentic language through listening and reading activities with an emphasis on functional and practical uses. The classes focus on speaking, pronunciation, reading and written communication and will help you become confident language users.

Our course tutors use bespoke learning resources and teach from an exciting syllabus around different arts and culture topics such as architecture, cuisine, culture, design, fashion and society. Most classrooms have smartboards and tutors use a variety of the latest teaching tools and methods to give you the best language learning experience. All classes are taught at beginner level, and we also run elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate level classes in different languages.

The courses also include a cultural event per term organised by the UAL Social Programme.
