Teesside University Investment
£250m investment paying off as Teesside University gets high marks in latest rankings
Teesside University has been named among the world’s top higher education institutions for the second year running.
Teesside , which has invested over £250,000,000 in its campus in recent years, was recognised for the quality of its teaching and the impact of its research, in the 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings,
Professor Paul Croney, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, said: “Our vision is to be an international university with a reputation for academic excellence and this result is recognition of all the tremendous work being undertaken at Teesside to transform our university.”
The University was recently awarded a silver rating in the Government’s new Teaching Excellence Framework and being rated 60th in the THE rankings makes it one of the highest performing institutions at that level.
It is the latest accolade for the university, which was one of only a handful of UK institutions shortlisted for the very first Global Teaching Excellence Awards (GTEA), which recognise outstanding leadership, teaching and student support. And in the 2018 Guardian University Guide, it moved up 23 places, one of the highest climbers.
Teesside University has launched an exciting programme of investment which will see £300m spent to transform its campus over the next 10 years.
