Social Greek Letter organizations are commonly known as fraternities and sororities. Most of these organizations have a long established history and can be found on college campuses throughout the United States and internationally. They are governed not only by their national headquarters, but belong to councils that set standards and provide guidance to all members.
Social Greek Letter organizations must meet basic guidelines and requirements in order to be considered member of these councils. Social Greek Letter organizations at St. Mary’s are members of the All-Greek Council (AGC) and/or the College Panhellenic Council (CPC) or the Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC), or Greek Honor Societies.
