Jobs at St. George’s
Welcome to the St. George’s, University of London recruitment website. St George’s is the UK’s only university dedicated to medical and health sciences education, training and research. Our distinctiveness is based on our exclusive focus on health sciences and medicine and we strive to bring an innovative and collaborative approach to all we do.
We provide a world-class multi-professional health sciences education that equips our graduates to meet today’s healthcare needs through relevant scientific research, clinical excellence, strong interpersonal skills and team-based working. Sharing a clinical environment with a major London teaching hospital, our innovative approach to education results in well-rounded, highly skilled clinicians, scientists, and health and social care professionals.
Values define what makes St George’s a distinctive community, guiding our behaviours and shaping our culture. In all our interactions, we believe in acting with integrity. Our values are:
Working effectively and with dedication to perform to the highest standards. Being responsible and accountable for our choices and decisions.
Listening, treating each other fairly and honestly. Learning from experience and reflecting on our choices and decisions.
Shaping an inclusive environment in which diversity is valued. Communicating openly and transparently.
Participating in life at St George’s and, through education and research, empowering our people to contribute to, influence and improve society and communities. Influencing effectively across the sectors in which we operate.
“The diversity of the people within our community at St George’s is one of our strengths. The university benefits hugely from the range of perspectives that come from the different backgrounds, opinions and beliefs of our staff and students and, in recognising that, we want to put our approach to diversity and inclusion firmly at our core. It is not an optional extra.”
— Professor Jenny Higham

How to apply for a job
Making an online application
We recommend making an online application, as the process is quick and user friendly.
If you wish to make an online application you will need to register to access the secure application part of this site. To register you simply need to provide some personal details which will go someway to completing the first stage of the application process. Note, you will be able to change this information at Stage 1 of the application process if required.
Once you have registered you will have access to the secure application process, which consists of ten simple steps in which we will ask you for the information required for your chosen vacancy. You will need to complete each step fully before you can submit your application for consideration. Note, while you are proceeding through the online steps none of your information is available to St. George’s. Only once you have submitted the application in the final step will your application be available for consideration.
You do not need to complete the whole application process in one go. If you do not have time or the information required is not at hand you may complete the rest of the application at another time. As you proceed through each step of the application process your details are saved and so when you return the information you entered will be retained. To login to complete an application, or to submit subsequent applications, simply login using your email address and the password you created when you registered.
Once we have received your application
If you apply online you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt of your application. Normally, you should hear from us within six weeks if you are shortlisted for interview, otherwise you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
How will you know the decision of your application?
Due to the large number of applications we receive for vacancies, if the University has not contacted you within six weeks of the closing date, you should assume that you have been unsuccessful.
