Overview

Postgraduate Open AfternoonThe Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology is organised by the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research in the Blizard Institute, and the Department of Dermatology BartsHealth.This distance learning programme covers core aspects of dermatology over a one-year period, with particular emphasis on the diagnosis and management of skin disease from a primary care perspective. There are two separate but linked programmes; one for UK-based General Practitioners, and one for doctors outside the UK. Successful completion of either programme leads to award of a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the University of London.

The weekly teaching sessions are given by experts in the field and comprise written and audiovisual material with a formative quiz. This course is quotable in Hong Kong.

  • There are close links with other dermatology departments in the region, in particular Whipps Cross University Hospital . there is a large enthusiastic team of consultant dermatologists, many of whom are tutors on this diploma course.

Facilities

Distance learning students will have access to the college online library facilities. This gives access to a large number of relevant journals. Students will have access to other academic literature and journals in the same way as on-site students.
