At the Men’s Football club or UPFC we offer 16 teams ranging in abilities and so we will have a team for you! The first 3 teams all play in the BUCS Western leagues. The 4’s-6’s all compete in the Devon Wednesday Premier league which the 4’s won two years ago. The 7’s-9’s compete in the Division 1 Devon Wednesday league. We then offer six intramural teams playing on a Wednesday and Sunday. The 1st and 2nd team also play in a very competitive Saturday league. All teams train on a Friday evening on an all weather 3G pitch. Training is run by captains with the help of our in house qualified coaches. Our trials run the Sunday and Friday after freshers fair and it is imperative to go if you want to give yourself the best chance of getting into a team suited to your ability!

After representing your teams we all get together for our weekly social on a Wednesday, wearing the famous UPFC tie we tackle the nightlife Plymouth has to offer. All fourteen teams enjoy food and drink at PL4 after games, before an evening starting in the SU and then heading to our very own private bar to announce match reports and man of the match awards. Once a month we also have a themed social, usually on Monday night which are always nights to remember as I’m sure you’ll find out. We cap the year of with DnD a night to celebrate all the achievements made over the year whether on a team or individual level.

Over the course of the year we offer a variety events, for example the Ben Murphy and Fred Binney cup an all day tournament, which gives you a chance to meet some of the old boys of previous years. Every summer UPFC jet off on a lads tour, which you’ll definitely hear about over the year.

This year we are supporting Teenage Cancer Trust through Murphmania which will involve several events throughout the year, kicking off with a leg waxing on top of the SU!

Finally we have Varsity against Marjon which the top 4 teams compete, another massive occasion in which everyone gets involved to support our teams the teams of other sports too.

We look forward to seeing you at freshers sports fair and throughout this year!

Alright lads, it’s that time of the year again.

The most civilized (sort of) social of the year has been booked! The UPFC Dinner and Dance 2017.

The ladies football club is a student run team welcoming girls of all abilities. We hold training once a week, with a professional coach from Argyle running the sessions, offering support and encouragement for those looking to improve. The membership fee includes affiliation to the Devon FA, training fees and a social shirt. The team is entered into two leagues and plays twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays.

Weekly socials are held on a Wednesday night, with a different theme each time. The team also organise non-drinking socials such as movie nights, bowling, laser tag and much more!

We play in the BUCS league on a Wednesday, this against other Universities. On a Sunday we play in the Devon Women’s League playing against local teams. Every year we play in the Varsity match (held at homepark!), which raises money for charity, this is against the team from Marjon.
