If you are expecting to be awarded before the end of July, you will be invited to a graduation ceremony on either Friday, 1 September or Saturday, 2 September 2017.

How do I register for my ceremony?

Once registration is open you need to go to the ‘My Graduation Planner’ tab on PIP. Register early to have the best chance of purchasing your guest tickets for your allocated ceremony.

If you experience difficulties accessing or using PIP, please contact Student Central.

If, after registering for your graduation ceremony, you find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration via the ‘My Graduation Planner’ tab on your PIP or email us graduation@brookes.ac.uk.  As long as you cancel your registration before the registration closing date on Wednesday 31st May (June ceremonies) and Wednesday 16th August (September ceremonies), we will refund your guest ticket costs. No refunds will be given after this date.

Make sure you get in touch with Success Photography and/or Ede & Ravenscroft if you have pre-booked photos or a gown too.

Gown hire

Graduation is a ceremonial event and we encourage all of our graduates to wear full academic dress – a gown, hood and mortar board. You don’t have to, but most graduates do and it is one of the things that makes graduation such a special day.

Where and when can I pick up my gown?

Your gown will be here waiting for you on the day. Once you have picked up your tickets you go through to Union Hall where the staff from Ede & Ravenscroft will be on hand to help you – remember to take note of your order number so that Ede & Ravenscroft can find your order.

What is the dress code for me?

We would ask that you dress smartly; it is a special event after all. You don’t have to wear full academic dress but we encourage it, along with traditional and religious clothing.

Please don’t wear:

  • Jeans
  • Shorts
  • Sports clothes
  • Flip flops

We won’t let you walk across the stage if you aren’t dressed appropriately.

What do guests have to wear?

There is no dress code for guests but they usually dress smartly for the occasion.
