We also have lots of other information about our office, the team and how we work.

Accommodation for new students

Whether you are studying for your first degree, or returning to University as a postgraduate, going to university can be a significant change. Moving to a new city, studying a new course and making new friends can be daunting. One of the most important things that you want to get right is where you are going to live, which is where we can help you.

Everybody who chooses Oxford Brookes as one of their choices for a full-time Undergraduate course is eligible to apply for a place in halls if they want one. If you are applying to study a taught Postgraduate course or full-time PhD you can also apply for halls. If your course starts in September, you can apply after the Easter break. If your course starts in January you can apply the November before you arrive.

We have lots of halls for you to choose from with both catered and self-catered options. Some rooms have their own bathrooms and some where you share a bathroom with your flatmates. Our halls vary in size and location around Oxford too.

Find out more about your choices if you are applying as an Undergraduate or as a Postgraduate. If you need help deciding which halls might be right for you then have a read of our advice here.

Accommodation for continuing students

Full-time students moving on to their second, third or fourth year can continue to live in halls if they wish. We also have a portfolio of shared houses that we let through Brookes Lettings to our returning students – please drop in or contact us on +44 (0) 345 1932425 for the latest availability.

Booking opens for both halls and houses in early February. We offer a range of room types, both en suite and with shared bathroom facilities, as well as catered and studio flat options.

Booking accommodation is simple. You need to log in to your StarRez account when booking opens to see what’s available and book your room. Some of our partnership halls have their own separate booking systems.

Please note that the halls and rooms available to continuing students will vary each year. Our students can live in halls throughout their studies at Oxford Brookes, but they won’t necessarily be able to live in the same hall or the same room. In some halls continuing students may be restricted to particular types of rooms.
