The Open University Jerusalem
The Open University Jerusalem, Follow a degree abroad in Jerusalem, one of the oldest cities in the world, and enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. International students from over 60 countries choose Jerusalem, as the city is home to one of Israel’s leading universities that plan to prepare students into becoming leading professionals in their field of study and to meet the needs of the globalised society. Jerusalem universities are also famous due to integrating world-class research programmes with impressive results and discoveries in many disciplines. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, although, under international law, the status of the city is not internationally recognised as the capital. Jerusalem is located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea.
The Open University also has master’s degree programs for some of the areas it teaches, but they are not open to everyone and do have acceptance criteria. At present, the university does not offer doctoral programs.
Affiliation with other universities
The Open University, together with the other Israeli universities, has reached agreements that enable students to begin their undergraduate studies within the flexible framework of the Open University and after taking a cluster of courses, decide whether they would like to complete their degree at the Open University, or transfer to another institution. The courses studied at the Open University will shorten the duration of degree studies at the other academic institution.
