The Open University Geology

The Open University Geology, The Open University Geological Society supports the study of geology and other earth sciences by providing opportunities for members to learn via field trips, talks, workshops and conferences led by experts in their fields.

OUGS is the largest Open University Society, with over two thousand members. Membership is open to everyone interested in geology and other earth sciences, not just Open University students and staff. Our members include amateur fossil hunters, professional oil engineers, oceanographers and satellite imagery experts studying planetary geology.
