How much will it cost?
Every Open University postgraduate qualification is comprised of a series of modules. Each module has a fee and you’ll pay for each module separately – in other words, you don’t pay for your whole qualification in advance.
Our module descriptions give full details of fees and what’s included, so that our costs are transparent, you know what’s expected and can plan accordingly from the outset of your studies. Study materials, tuition and assessment are included in our fees.

Masters degrees – from £4,998
Postgraduate diplomas – from £3,332
Postgraduate certificates – from £1,666
When calculating costs, remember to bear in mind the following:
- In order to study with us, you’ll need your own computer and broadband internet access. There may also be additional costs associated with set books and travel to tutorials.
- If you choose to study a module that involves attending a residential school or study weekend, there will be additional costs, such as travel to the venue. Further information can be found in the module description
- Depending on your chosen qualification, modules may be available for you to attain professional accreditation. Fees for these modules will be payable in addition to those required to achieve your qualification. Further information can be found in the qualification descriptions.
