The Open University Business School Ranking 2017/18
OUBS ranked eleventh in QS Distance Online MBA Rankings 2017
The Open University Business School Ranking 2017/18, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the leading provider of World University Rankings, have today released the fifth edition of their annual QS Distance Online MBA Rankings.
The table ranks the world’s top 40 programmes, serving as a valuable information source for the ever-increasing number of students seeking to undertake online MBAs, whilst they carry on working.
This year’s release sees Spain’s IE Business School’s Global MBA programme named the world’s best. The Open University Business School (OUBS) is ranked eleventh and this year’s results indicate that high-quality distance MBA provision is still a market dominated by providers from the US-UK duopoly.
- IE is the only provider from the top 10 that operates outside these two nations;
- 55% of the 40 programmes are offered by US-based schools, with the UK home to a further 20% of these courses;
- Average tuition across the 40 programmes was US$39,106, with the US average almost $10,000 higher ($48,784).
“QS distance online MBA ranking is unique in evaluating opportunities for interaction with class-mates and professors as well as looking at the reputation with employers.
The technology behind online learning continues to advance improving the learner experience. But data on completion rates and employer feedback reinforces the view that the blended model including some physical meet ups is most effective.”
Nunzio Quacquarelli, CEO at QS Quacquarelli Symonds
