Norwich University of the Arts Photography
BA (Hons) Photography is a Creative Skillset accredited and Association of Photographers recognised course, which maintains an intrinsic relevance to the changing world of commercial photography.
You will create images with passion and individuality while acquiring an understanding of markets, the needs of a client and the importance of communicating with an audience. Projects provide opportunities to work on location and in the studio, developing high levels of competence using industry standard cameras, lenses, lighting equipment and editing software in the digital darkrooms. Tutorials, group critiques and lectures provide an understanding of visual communication and explore the evolution of digital technologies, copyright law and client expectations.
The range of briefs include projects set by distinguished guests who specialise in diverse areas of commercial practice, such as NUA Visiting Professor and music photographer Andy Earl (Madonna, Prince, Johnny Cash), Tim Flach (Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Gold) and Lydia Goldblatt (Magenta Flash Forward Award). As you progress you will explore a range of career opportunities within the photographic industries and graduate with a portfolio of work which will stand out from the crowd.
