There are currently around 160 students from India enrolled on programmes as diverse as Biotechnology, Business with International Management, Design, Electrical Power Engineering, Fashion Management, Graphic Design, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Sciences, Sport Management and many more.
Northumbria University is one of 35 UK Universities whose LLB is recognised by the Bar Council of India. In addition the University has strong links with a number of prestigious Indian Institutions, and especially Amity University (NOIDA, National Capital Region), Ansal University (Gurgaon), DJ Academy of Design (Coimbatore), ECube Global College (Mumbai), KIIT University, Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (Tamil Nadu), MIT Institute of Design (Pune), National Law University (Delhi), Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (Nagpur, Maharashtra), and Symbiosis International University (Pune).
