How to apply for a SITS or Student Records account
(staff only)

Staff requiring access to the College student records management system, SITS, are required to pass the online tutorial before they may request access. The tutorial provides a foundation for understanding King’s College London’s practices of using SITS, accessing commonly used screens, how to navigate a student’s record and searching and retrieving students records. Please find a link to the course here

If you only require access to Student Records, please note that you are not required to complete the online training course. Complete the form here. This will need to be signed by an authorised signatory. A list of authorised signatories can be found here. Once the form has been completed, e-mail it to 8888@kcl.ac.uk to be processed.

If you require access to SITS client, after completing the course as required, please complete this form. Your line manager will also need to sign the form confirming your successful completion of the SITS online course and the form will also need to be signed by an authorised signatory. A list of authorised signatories can be found here.

Once authorised, the form needs to be emailed to SITS@kcl.ac.uk for approval. The SITS team may contact you as the user, or your approver, to find out more about why the access is being requested and for what use. They will then pass the form to 8888@kcl.ac.uk for processing.

What is Student Records?

Student Records is a web-based service that allows students to manage their personal information at King’s. It also allows Academic and Administrative staff to view course/student information and perform student administration tasks online.

Who can use it?

All undergraduate and postgraduate students obtain automatic access to Student Records upon joining the College.

Access is provided to staff on request and upon receipt of a signed application form.
All members of academic staff are encouraged to use Student Records. If you do not yet have access, please click here for further information about how you can apply for a Student Records account.

Change access rights for an existing SITS account

To change an existing user account, please complete the Change of Access form and have it authorised by the appropriate signatory.

Disable an existing SITS or Student Records account

To disable a staff account, if a member of staff has left King’s, please complete the Disable Access form and have it authorised by the appropriate signatory.

Once authorised, the form needs to be emailed to 8888@kcl.ac.uk.
