Occupational Health: Requirements and information

Undergraduate healthcare and PGCE students

If you are applying to study any of the following you will be provided with a health questionnaire which you must complete to the best of your knowledge and send directly to Occupational Health (address details are provided on the form):

  • Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Physiotherapy
  • Nutrition
  • Dietetics
  • Pharmacy
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education

When Occupational Health receives your form they will review your responses and then contact you to arrange and appointment.  It is important that you attend this appointment and any subsequent appointments so that there are no delays to your clinical or teaching placement.

The Occupational Health provider for undergraduate and PGCE
students is Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Postgraduate health faculties students

Postgraduate students whose studies will involve any of the following will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and forward it to Occupational Health.  Please complete the form to the best of your knowledge and send it directly to Occupational Health (address details are given on the form).

  • Clinical contact with patients
  • Studies with human tissue products
  • Studies with genetically modified organisms or pathogens (biological agents that are harmful to human health
  • Studies involving risk of exposure to environmental or human pathogens (eg water systems, soils etc)
  • Studies involving risk of exposure to respiratory sensitisers
