About King’s Careers & Employability

King’s Careers & Employability enables students and alumni to develop effective career management skills and build a platform for lifelong career success. We support the university in developing high quality, impartial employability support to students, alumni and research staff across all faculties and disciplines. Our services include careers guidance and application appointments, practice interviews, an online vacancy board, numerous careers events and bespoke internship programmes as well as a host of information and resources.

King’s CareerConnect

King’s CareerConnect is our online careers portal designed to help you make the most of the opportunities and services we offer, allowing you to:

  • access our vacancy board and search for part-time work, placements, internships and graduate-level opportunities from employers targeting King’s students and graduates.
  • set alerts and reminders for new opportunities and events according to your personal preferences and career goals.
  • book one-to-one careers or application guidance appointments and practice interviews.
  • view our events calendar and book attendance at our fairs, employer presentations, seminars, skills workshops and other events.

CURRENT STUDENTS: Setting up your account

Current students are automatically registered with the system and you can use your network ID and password to log-in.

  • The first time you do this, you’ll be asked to set up your profile and alert preferences which will determine whether you wish to receive daily or weekly alerts about opportunities or events as well as targeted messages from employers.
  • You can update these at any time to ensure you’re only receiving the information you want.
  • You will also have the option to sign up for vacancy alerts from a separate service called TARGETjobs.

RECENT GRADUATES: Setting up your account

Recent graduates of King’s College London can access the system for up to two years following completion of your programme.

  • Complete the registration form with your details and once approved you’ll be sent login details via email.
  • Once registered you can login and view opportunities, events and to book appointments.

KING’S COLLEGE STAFF: Setting up your account

Your network log in details will not work with King’s CareerConnect, however staff are able to request access to the system to help support your students.

  • Complete the registration form with your details and once approved you’ll be sent login details via email.
  • Once registered you can login and view opportunities and events.

Having a problem accessing the system?

If you have enrolled for a course at King’s you should be able to access CareerConnect as described above. If you definitely have enrolled and are still experiencing issues please let us know so that we can investigate it for you.

When you contact us, please try to include:

  • a screenshot image of any error messages you receive when trying to access CareerConnect
  • the web browser that you are using (eg Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox etc)
  • where you are trying to access CareerConnect (ie on campus, in a student residence or off site)
  • whether you have experienced any problems with other King’s website which require your single sign on (eg KEATS).

Searching for a job

We list hundreds of opportunities on King’s CareerConnect – our exclusive vacancy board for current students and recent graduates.  Opportunities are uploaded by employers actively targeting applications from King’s and you can narrow your search by criteria including opportunity type, industry sector, location and degree level amongst others.

You can also save searches to return to at a later date, view organisation profiles, see events they are attending on campus and set your own preferences to receive email alerts and targeted messages from employers.

Students also have access to JobOnline from The Careers Group, which you can access through King’s CareerConnect.

Remember, you can book an appointment with a Careers Consultant or Application Adviser to review your CV, cover letter(s) or applications or review our resources to help you once you’ve found an opportunity to apply to.
