King’s College London eresources

The databases and ejournals lists provide details of eresources available via King’s College London.  The list gives information on how you access individual resources, eg your King’s username and password.

NB King’s College London no longer uses OpenAthens for Staff and Student access to eresources. Please see the password pages for further details.

Any Trust staff involved in teaching, research or administration on behalf of the university may be entitled to register for an affiliate email account, which in turn will generate remote access to significant additional electronic resources.

An online process is used for affiliate registration (old paper forms are no longer accepted).  Details on applying for an account can be found on the Accounts for Affiliated Staff page.  You should ask your King’s contact to initiate the process as a King’s account is required to login and start your registration.  The affiliate accounts registration process is operated by IT.

Please allow 4 to 5 working days for this application to be processed.  When the account has been processed your credentials will be emailed to an alternative email address that you will need to provide.

Alternatively, you can collect your login details from a Library Enquiry Desk.  You will need to bring your College ID card, your passport or a UK driving license. Before visiting a Library Enquiry Desk to pick up your details, please contact the IT Service Desk first on 020 7848 8888 to make sure your credentials are ready.

NHS staff who are registered with the Library can access most King’s ejournals via a King’s College London computer, e.g. in Libraries and computer rooms, without needing an affiliate account.

Please also see our Inter-lending and inter-site services page for details of how to obtain items not held at King’s College London, or held at another King’s College London site.
