How to apply for clearing

King's College London students at a lecture

Follow the steps below:

  1. Check that you are eligible for clearing or adjustment, and that the course you’re interested in has places available.
  2. Read about the course you’re interested in (search here) to make sure it’s the right one for you.
  3. Call the admissions office on 020 7848 7000.

When you call, you’ll need the following details ready:

    • Your UCAS Personal ID (if you’ve applied to UCAS this year)
    • Two telephone numbers, one to make your calls from and one to receive them to.
    • Details of the subjects you’ve studied, your qualifications and grades

We’ll ask you whether you are in clearing (you can check this on Track) or whether you are asking about adjustment (where you have achieved grades higher than expected).

We may also ask you some questions about where you live, and whether you’ve previously had an offer from King’s. If English isn’t your first language we will ask what English language proficiency tests you have taken.

What happens next?

When you speak to our clearing and adjustment advisors, we will consider your application carefully and if we are able to offer you a place to study with us, we will let you know on the phone.

If we are able to offer you a place, we will email you with your next steps, which will involve taking actions on UCAS by a certain deadline.

Important note

Please do not refer your application to King’s through clearing unless we ask you to.

We will not be able to consider unsolicited referrals.

Please call our admissions office on 020 7848 7000 instead.
