The Sustainability Hub was originally a derelict farm house that was abandoned in the 1960s. Renovated over the last five years, the building has been transformed into a progressive conference venue with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental technologies. The facilities are perfect for hosting training both internal and external events, networking, and conferences.

Our friendly staff are happy to talk to you about your venue requirements. Call 01782 733555 or e-mail keelehub@keele.ac.uk.

Sustainability

As Keele University’s Sustainability Hub we take pride in our sustainability credentials. We expect that those who use the building will adhere to our ethos. Recycling is very important to us. We have dry mixed recycling, food waste bins, glass recycling and waste that goes to incineration.

Please avoid, when possible, the use of disposable items, such as cups and plates, especially polystyrene.

Instead of bottled water we are happy to provide water jugs.

The building is heated and cooled automatically. It should be at the right temperature for the day, but if you do have any concerns before or on the day about temperature control, please do let us know.

Room Layout

You are welcome to more the furniture around within the room as you wish, and we often have additional furniture available if needed. Please put furniture back when vacating the room. If you need additional support to rearrange furniture there is an additional small charge.

Audio Visual Services

Each room has a white board, a projector and a screen. Laptops are also available to be pre-booked. If you have any further AVS requirements such as speakers or a ‘presentation clicker’ please inform us during the booking process.

We have disabled parking spaces, and disabled toilets by both of the main rooms on the ground floor.
