Congratulations on being chosen to attend our selection day!

Please check UCAS Track for the date of your selection day and to confirm your attendance. You must respond to your invitation by no later than 5 working days before your interview date.  If you are unable to attend on the date offered you may request an alternative date – only ONE further appointment will be offered. You may not be offered an alternative interview date if you fail to attend without good reason or sufficient notice.

Your selection day will take place at Keele University School of Nursing and Midwifery, Clinical Education Centre, University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 6QG. A map and directions are available to download below. When planning your transport arrangements you should allow a full day for the selection process.

Please be aware that the School of Nursing and Midwifery is not situated on Keele campus.

PLEASE NOTE: Car parking at the Clinical Education Centre (CEC) is limited and is mainly for permit holders only, however some pay and display parking is available at the building. If you are unable to access one of the spaces, please be advised to access one of the Pay and Display car parks on the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust site (Newcastle Road entrance) and then walk across to the CEC. If you approach over the foot bridge, the main entrance to CEC is directly in front of you; please report to the reception desk on arrival. Car parking charges within the hospital grounds will apply.

What to expect on the day:

Please arrive between 9.00am – 9.15am. You will be met by the admissions team and current students who will be available for support throughout the day. After registration you will take a values assessment and a non-calculator numeracy test which assesses basic numeracy skills (both online). You will then take part in a group activity. After lunch (tea & coffee will be provided and a range of items can be purchased from our revive room) individual interviews will take place. You will be interviewed by a Chairperson, a nurse lecturer (Nursing)/ midwifery lecturer (Midwifery) and a clinician with experience and interest in your chosen field of nursing/midwifery (where available). The interview will last for approximately 10 minutes.
