Keele University Pharmacy
Keele has a well-established school of pharmacy and strong links with major employers such as Boots and the National Health Service. We currently offer two undergraduate courses; a 4 year MPharm programme which began in September 2006 (also available as a 5 year programme with an integrated training year for international students) and a new 3 year BSc course in Pharmaceutical Science, Technology and Business launched in 2013. Located within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, our School complements the existing School of Medicine and you will be taught in a dynamic and flourishing multidisciplinary, interprofessional environment.

Our course is hugely varied; you could go from exploring genetics, molecular biology and stereochemistry to learning about business development and even learning a language.

This course covers the main aspects of pharmaceutical discovery and development, product formulation, manufacture and quality assurance assessment, and explains how such pure and applied sciences fit into global business, legal and regulatory frameworks. This includes elements of clinical development and the role of the pharmaceutical scientist within the industry team that take a drug from research to the clinic.
