Undergraduate Bursaries and Scholarships

We know that going to university can be a daunting as well as an exciting experience, so to help you along the way we have a number of bursaries and scholarships.

The following bursaries and scholarships may be targeted at specific subjects/talent areas or at certain under-represented groups. In some cases you may be required to make an independent application, for others the bursary/scholarship will be awarded automatically. It is important to note that bursaries and scholarships are not loans.

Postgraduate Taught Awards and Discounts 2017 Entry

From September 2017, Keele University is offering three bursaries as part of its postgraduate financial support programme:

The Keele Alumni Discount*

This is a £1,000 tuition fee waiver for Keele Alumni (UK/EU students). Students must be taking a taught postgraduate course at Keele University to at least 120 credits. The award will be offered on a pro-rata basis for some lower credit courses providing total credit study within the academic year exceeds 40 credits, full details below.

The Keele Graduate Scholarship*

This a £500 tuition fee waiver for UK/EU students taking a taught postgraduate course at Keele University who attained first class honours in their first degree.

The Keele Access Scholarship*

This is a £850 tuition fee waiver for UK/EU students for students from backgrounds with low participation in higher education who are taking a taught postgraduate course at Keele University. This award is aimed at supporting traditionally under-represented groups to progress on to graduate study at Keele.

You may be eligible for a scholarship if you live in an area of the UK from which very few students progress to higher education (officially defined as a Low Participation Neighbourhood). Check your area on our Access Scholarships – UK Postcode Checker.

You may also be eligible to receive a Keele Access Scholarship if you have declared that you have a disability on your application for postgraduate study at Keele.
