Kathy Charles

I am a Chartered Psychologist, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Head of Psychology at Edinburgh Napier University.

Teaching

I have been teaching since 2003.  I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  My teaching experience includes evening classes for adults, all years of undergraduate level teaching and assessment, overseas teaching, specialised MSc lectures, and PhD supervision.  In 2012, 2013, and 2014 I was nominated for Student Led Teaching Awards for Best Feedback and Best Tutor.  In 2015 I was nominated and shortlisted for Most Innovative Tutor and both of my undergraduate forensic psychology modules were nominated for Best Module.  In 2016 my third year undergraduate module Forensic Psychology 1 was nominated for Best Module.  In 2017 I was nominated for Best Tutor.
