These menu links provide training materials which will help those running Clubs, Societies & Projects in their role. The finance section covers all the finance administration related to student groups.

The Principal Officers training must be completed by all Chairs/Presidents of Clubs, Societies & Projects; this training is available as eLearning and has an associated online quiz which must be completed.

If you have passed either the Marshaling, Requesting Spaces or Minibus Driving quiz in previous years you do not have to complete these again. All other quizzes must be completed at the start of each academic year as they will not roll over.

Many students participate in student societies outside of their studies to develop their enterprising knowledge and skills. Below is a selection of some of our most popular enterprising student societies supported by Imperial College Union.

E.quinox

E.quinox is a student-led, humanitarian organisation, which hopes to bring cost-effective and renewable energy to developing countries. They are actively involved in the research and development of innovative, sustainable and affordable generation & distribution technologies to help power some of the poorest communities in the world.

Enactus

Enactus brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. They run a wide variety of social enterprise projects across the globe, ranging from local London schools to rural villages in Kenya and Tanzania.

Engineers without borders

Engineers without borders is a student-led charity aiming to facilitate human development through sustainable engineering. They aim to teach students about international development and show them how they can use their skills to help those most in need. Non-engineers are as welcome as engineers!

Imperial App Society

Imperial App Society focuses on inspiring students with creativity or programming skills to share ideas, grow together and transform their environment by developing mobile applications.

Imperial Entrepreneurs

Imperial Entrepreneurs is the launchpad for the next generation of technology entrepreneurs at Imperial College London. Not only do they provide thier members with the chance to network with successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, they also support them with their first steps into the exciting journey of becoming an entrepreneur.

Robotics

Robotics is a student led society based in room 506 of The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. They run a variety of robotics courses, talks and competitions and provide tools, materials and a place to work or hang out with like minded people. If you have a cool robotics or technology project then go long to receive help or funding.

Computing Society

Doc Soc run multiple events throughout the year, including several coding challenges and an annual hackathon. They invite notable tech speakers, connect students with different opportunities and run a number of social events to bring together the community of students who are interested in Computing.
