Hull College Governors
The Corporation, or Governing Body, is responsible for the mission and strategic direction of the College, determines policy and monitors the performance of the College. The Corporation consists of 14 Governors including Staff and Student Governors from a wide variety of backgrounds and their experience and strategic skills make a vital contribution to the continuing development of the College. The Corporation discharges some of its responsibilities via committees where there can be Co-Opted Members. Below you will find information about the College’s accounts and strategic plan and throughout this section you can discover more about the governors, the committee structure and our policies and procedures.
Annual General Meetings are held in January each year, with the most recent being held on 25 January 2017.

Governors’ Policies and Procedures
New Chair of Corporation
Our new Chair of the Corporation Becky Oughtibridge has officially started her role! Becky is Head of People at Sewell Group where she skilfully leads all people–related activities. Sewell is a multi-disciplined group of companies operating across the Yorkshire region known for its engagement and culture. Sewell Group companies include construction, estates management, retail, and a number of public sector partnerships including local school and healthcare building improvements so Becky has a wealth of different expertise.
Becky joined the Corporation 6 months’ ago as a Governor due to a keen interest in education, learning and talent management. During her time as a Governor Becky has seen the passion in staff and students and a want to succeed and achieve and is keen to actively support that journey.
