Level 1 Award in Fashion & Clothing (QCF) (Fashion & Pattern Cutting)

The course will mainly focus on Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting and is intended to build upon students’ skills in these areas. From your own body measurements you will be taught how to draft a master pattern for a variety of basic garment shapes.

Level 1 Award in Visual Arts (Ceramics and Glass)

Learners will explore some of the basics of handling ceramic processes. This may include modelling in clay, slab building, press moulding and a range of decorative processes (e.g. slip decoration, glazing) etc. Learners will explore some of the basics of handling glass-making processes.

Level 1 Award in Visual Arts (Life Model Drawing)

The course is an introduction to drawing and mark-making skills. Students will be introduced to drawing methods including using measuring as a means to accurately record proportion and form, and encouraged to observe the etiquette of the life room.

Level 1 BTEC Award in Visual Arts ( Printmaking) (QCF)

The course will explore the use of mono printing, lino printing, dry point and acid etching, students will be expected to respond to tutor set assignment briefs, keeping a sketchbook record of inspiration and ideas development, in addition to health and safety notes.

Level 1 Art and Design

The Level 1 Study Programme in Art and Design gives you a foundation of art and design skills exploring a broad range of specialisms within the subject.

Level 2 Art and Design

This Level 2 Art and Design Study Programme teaches you art and design skills in core disciplines including drawing, printmaking, fine art, textiles, interactive media, fashion, illustration, contextual studies, computer aided design, and various 3D techniques including ceramics.

Level 3 (A Level Equivalent) 3D Design

Learning 3D Design is the starting point for many career paths. It encompasses a huge range of ideas, teaching you to present creative solutions to spatial problems through drawings, computer models and scale models built in the workshop.

Level 3 (A Level Equivalent) Fashion and Clothing

Looking to work in fashion? The Level 3 Art and Design (Fashion and Clothing) Study Programme teaches you construction skills, how to create and design your own collection – with exciting project briefs that will help you will develop the skills and attributes you need to succeed.

Level 3 (A Level Equivalent) Foundation Diploma in Art and Design

Ideal for students who already hold an A Level in an Art or Design subject but need further experience to gain entry to a degree level programme.
