MArch Architecture

Part-Time

We see the role of the Hull School to be a critical friend in the regeneration of the City. Students at this level will be expected to set their own pedagogic agenda within the structured framework of this exciting course. The working context is based on the idea of an ‘Atelier’ with staff, students, visitors and invited external organisations working together with the aim of exploring exciting propositions within the built environment.

The modules are varied with an aim to challenge and enthuse, developing critical thinking and academic rigour within design methodology. We think ‘globally’ and act ‘locally’ and the development of the student is honed by the European context facilitated by the daily sea crossings from the port to Holland and Belgium.

The M.Arch is recognised by ARB as a prescribed Part 2 course and the course team is working with the RIBA with the aim of gaining their full validation at the earliest opportunity. The M.Arch is a fundamental academic component required to become a fully qualified architect, allowing you to work for an architectural practice or to set up your own firm, bringing your distinctive view of the world of architecture to the fore.
