The Department of Music at Goldsmiths is a vibrant and friendly department, with a long tradition of committed teaching at all levels. We have three undergraduate programmes: a BMus in Music, which centres upon ‘classical’ music from all periods including the present, and two specialist programmes; a BMus in Popular Music and BMus/BSc in Music Computing (offered in collaboration with the Department of Computing).
These degrees offer both depth and flexibility, enabling you to construct a programme of study that is exactly right for you
BMus (Hons) Music
BMus (Hons) Popular Music
BMus/BSc (Hons) Music Computing
We also offer programmes specifically designed for international students. See further information on our international students page.
There are three categories of Masters-level degrees: MA (focused on academic research); MMus (focused on practice-based research); and a joint honours MA from the Department of Music and Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship.
Most academic modules are open to students across degrees; practice-based modules are usually open only to students in the relevant degree cohort.
