Goldsmiths University of London Distance Learning
The University of London International Programmes
In addition to the wide range of degrees available to students attending Goldsmiths full or part-time, we also provide a selection of distance learning programmes through our association with the University of London International Programmes.
Since 1858, the University of London International Programmes has offered a variety of University of London degrees worldwide to students who cannot attend university in person. Former students and alumni include Asa Briggs, Nelson Mandela, Wole Soyinka and Derek Walcott.
More than 100 programmes are currently available, and there are over 50,000 students worldwide. All degrees and diplomas offered through the University of London International Programmes are awarded by the University of London.
The University of London International Programmes is a partnership of the University of London colleges and the University of London International Academy.
The academic direction of the programmes is the responsibility of a particular University of London college (or consortium of colleges), known as the ‘Lead College’. Goldsmiths is the Lead College for two subject areas, Computing and English, and we offer the following progammes:
- BSc & Certificate of Higher Education in Computing and Information Systems
- BSc & Certificate of Higher Education in Creative Computing
- BA in English
- Diploma of Higher Education in English
- Certificate of Higher Education in English
Goldsmiths academics develop each course syllabus, write subject guides and prepare and mark examinations. Students may sit their examinations in London, or in examination centres across the world.
Further information is available in the Computing and Humanities prospectuses, the Computing programme specification, the English programme specification and the regulations for the Computing and English programmes.
You may seek support from teaching institutions, some of which are recognised by the University of London International Programmes’ Teaching Institutions Recognition Framework.
Staff at the University of London International Programmes deal with all student administration, including enquiries, applications, registration and despatch of study materials.
