Glyndwr University United Kingdom
The London campus of Glyndwr University is located in the centre of Kingston upon Thames. The Borough is home to two Royal Parks, Hampton Court Palace and Richmond Park. It is well known for its 800 year old Market Square and its many restaurants, cafes and street food outlets across the town centre.
The busy Riverside scene is within short walking distance of the town centre. Kingston’s amenities have attracted residents to its leafy streets for decades and its traditional demographic is coexisting with a new arrival of young professionals who are falling for the area’s lively cultural scene, riverside pubs and shopping opportunities.
The Glyndwr University London Campus is a compact Teaching Facility. It comprises modern teaching and learning spaces with up to date well maintained teaching and learning facilities. There are 8 lecture and seminar rooms, two general computer laboratories and one specialist computer laboratory for network modules. Students have access to Moodle and classrooms are well set out with access to the University Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This provides students and teaching staff with module learning materials which are used both at the London campus and the home campus in Wrexham. Moodle is the platform whereby students can manage their learning and receive important programme and module information.
There is a large Learning Resources area comprising a large number of open access computers, a small book stock and areas for private study and group work. Students also benefit from the Learning Resources available electronically through the Home Campus. These include the full library University Book and Learning material stock. The public library is near to the campus. Students also have access to libraries through the SCONUL scheme.
