Part-time courses explained

We offer many types of part-time courses in a wide range of course areas.

Foundation degrees are designed to develop higher skills and provide you with confidence and experience of studying at higher education level, while helping you to develop your career potential. They are offered in areas as diverse as engineering, housing and early childhood studies and many are offered at locations across the region and beyond through our links with partner colleges.

The majority of full degrees can be taken part-time, providing you with flexible and accessible options.

Professional courses in counselling, health and social care, journalism, marketing and other areas are delivered over one or two years and provide you with relevant professional skills valued by employers.

We also offer specialist postgraduate courses in many areas, which are designed to provide advanced training and higher skills development. Our postgraduate taught and research programmes cover all areas, including computing, science, engineering, art and design, education, sports and exercise science, psychology and criminology and criminal justice.
