Alternative connection instructions for eduroam

  1. Click the link below to open the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool site:
    https://cat.eduroam.org/
  2. Click on the eduroam user: download your eduroam installer box
  3. Select Glasgow Caledonian University.  The website will detect your operating system and return a link to download your eduroam installer – click this link to download the eduroam installer
  4. Run the eduroam installer
  5. When asked to log in, enter the following details:
    • username@gcu.ac.uk
    • your current domain password
  6. You may need to disconnect from the gcu-wifi-setup wireless network before connecting to eduroam

Generic wireless network settings

Devices must support WPA2 in Enterprise mode to be compatible with the eduroam wireless network. The connection information for eduroam is shown below.

  • SSID: eduroam
  • Security: WPA2 Enterprise
  • Encryption: AES
  • Authentication: 802.1x
  • 802.1x(inner) Type: EAP/PEAP MSCHAPv2
  • Server: isorps2.gcal.ac.uk
  • Username: username@gcu.ac.uk
  • Password: Domain Password
  • Domain: [leave blank]
