Exchange programmes

At Edinburgh Napier we want everyone to have a global outlook. Students and staff are encouraged to work, study, train or volunteer abroad through our exchange programmes and partnerships. We also welcome staff and students from overseas to Edinburgh.

Study abroad

The Erasmus+ exchange programme gives students the opportunity to study or work in another European country. The programme counts towards your degree and will add an international dimension to your studies.

International exchange programmes

We have links all around the world including Australia, Canada, China, New Zealand and the USA, giving students the chance to take part in an International Student Exchange Program.

Short-term exchange opportunities

Short-term exchange opportunities are available in the summer, giving students an opportunity to explore different cultures outside term time.

Volunteer or work abroad

Volunteering or working abroad can be a rewarding, challenging and exciting experience. We encourage our students to use their skills and their time to make a difference while at Edinburgh Napier. Contact us on studyabroad@napier.ac.uk for more details.

Visiting exchange students

If you’re currently studying outside the UK you can join over 650 international visiting students from Europe, the USA and beyond by spending a trimester or a year with us as part of your degree, giving you a global perspective on your studies as you experience life in an exciting, historic and cultured capital city.

Applications to study from January 2017 are open now and will close at the end of October.

Visit the visiting students section for more information about studying on exchange at Edinburgh Napier, including the online application form.
