Course introduction

Our Business Management course provides you with opportunities to discover how all organisations are managed, and develop and grow. You’ll explore the internal structures and strategies which businesses adopt in response to the key external drivers for change which impact upon them.

The modular structure of the course helps you develop an understanding of a wide range of business and management skills and competencies. This practical and applied knowledge equips you very well to take advantage of a broad range of career opportunities on graduation.

What you’ll learn

In your first two years you’ll build a foundation in the essentials of effective business management. This foundation prepares you for the options to engage with applied learning within an industry placement, or to explore diverse cultures through studying abroad within our extensive partner network.

This course offers you excellent employability skills including professional presentation, team working, leadership, communication and problem solving.

This is a full-time course studied over four years. You’ll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and through independent study.

Work placement/international study:

There is an optional six month work placement in Year 3, or you can choose to study abroad, in English, at one of our partner universities for one trimester.
