Durham University Job Board

A primary service which we offer to employers is free vacancy advertising; it is essential to us that your vacancies can be easily uploaded and viewed by our students. Our services support employers looking to recruit graduate level roles (including internships and placements) and also employers looking to recruit students into local part-time roles

An essential part of your recruitment process should be to make students and recent graduates of Durham University aware of your vacancies. The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre hosts a Vacancy Advertising System on which these posts can be displayed, free of charge. To use this system for the first time please select Register or if you have already registered with us please Log In.

Online system

Using our online content management system, Graduate Recruiters can carry out a range of essential tasks:

  • Update organisation details
  • Add and remove named contacts
  • Submit graduate vacancies
  • Display a company logo on relevant webpages, eg vacancies or events
  • Contact the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre

All vacancies can be viewed by our existing students and many of our recent graduates.

Please note that all company registrations and vacancy advertisements must be approved by our Vacancy Coordinator before publication on our system; you should allow up to five working days for this. Every vacancy must comply with UK employment legislation as well as our own Vacancy Advertising Policy.

Information to include

To maintain a well-ordered system, all vacancies are displayed to students with a Fact File. This is comprised of much of the information garnered from the required fields of the online form – such as the type of opportunity, occupational area, location and salary range – and the closing date for applications. Please also remember to include the expiry date for your advertisement (usually the same as the closing date).
