De Montfort University Pharmacy Interview
Your Pharmacy Selection Day will combine timed selection activities comprising a structured interview, Numeracy testing and some written and practical scenarios, often referred to as Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI’s). There are also non-selection events included in the itinerary. The day is designed not only to assess your suitability for the course but also to help you to make the right decision for you. On the following pages you will find lots of useful information and advice to enable you to prepare for your Pharmacy Selection Day to help make the experience as useful and positive as it can be.
What to expect
How long will this test take?
Each Multiple Mini Interview will last 12 minutes. The Numeracy test will be 30 minutes.
How will the MMI’s be structured?
During Registration you will be allocated into groups. There will be three mini assessments, each lasting 12 minutes and each group will rotate through the activities. The activities will comprise a written science test, a written situational judgement test and structured interview questions. You will also undertake a 30 minute Numeracy test (calculators are not permitted in the test).
NOTE: If you are studying a Access to HE (Science) qualification you will also be required to sit a Chemistry test.
What can I do to prepare?
- Read through the mock questions you will have been sent with your Invite to Interview
- Ensure you allow time to revise for the tests – allocate yourself revision time and try to stick to it
- Think about why you have applied to study Pharmacy and why you have chosen DMU
- Read your application and remind yourself of what you have said
